Library Building
Staff are currently planning services for our opening in 2014 in a spectacular library building designed by renowned architect Rem Koolhaas.
The library will be offering state of the art facilities, technologies and services that any Qatar resident may use. Included in our facilities will be public computer workstations, digital media production facilities, a variety of collaborative and individual learning spaces, a Children's Library, performance spaces, a café and more.

Qatar National Library and Spanish Embassy Explore Cultural Links

On a recent visit to Qatar National Library’s Heritage Collection Building, Her Excellency Mrs. Carmen De La Peña, Spain’s Ambassador to Qatar, donated a selection of valuable books in collaboration with the Islamic Library of the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development (AECID) and Casa Árabe, a Spanish public diplomacy institution focused on relations with the Arab world.
QNL Offers More Database Trainings this April

Qatar National Library is pleased to announce that in April there will be four database training workshops highlighting Oxford University Press databases and SpringerLink. For each database, there will be one session in English and one in Arabic. These databases have national access and the public is welcome to attend all sessions.
