Instructions for Authors

Step 1: Log in

After acceptance, log in to the Wiley Authors Dashboard at www.wileyauthors.com. Go to My Dashboard, find your article, and select Manage Article, then choose Open Access.

Step 2: Confirm Details

Confirm or update your funder(s) and affiliation(s), or indicate if none apply.

Step 3: Request Open Access

Select “Yes, make my article open access.” The library will be notified for approval.

Step 4: Outcome

  • Approved: You will receive confirmation and your article will be published open access under a Creative Commons license. 
  • Not approved: Not approved: You will be asked to pay the open access fee to proceed with open access publication, or make a decision to publish the article behind a paywall (no payment will be required).

Please note that final funding approval depends on approval from QNL admins/the open access team. An active agreement alone does not qualify authors for funding.

Authors should duly acknowledge QNL funding in the published article, using the following standard statement:
