Qatar National Library Launches Summer Membership Campaign

1 July 2026

Qatar National Library has launched its annual Membership Campaign this July, inviting community members across Qatar to make the Library their summer home. For families and individuals heading away during the break, the Library travels with them: its mobile app and digital offerings keep engaging, knowledge-rich experiences within reach, and reading enthusiasts can still enjoy their favorite titles wherever they are.

Providing the community with full access to a wealth of knowledge, resources, programs, and experiences, the Library is a welcoming and free-to-join space where children discover stories, students deepen their knowledge, researchers pursue their work, and families connect, all under one roof.

The campaign is aligned with the #Library4You slogan, which positions the Library as a personal partner in every member's learning journey and reflects its commitment to serving each member of the community as an individual, meeting them where they are, and growing with them across every stage of life.

New members who register during July will be eligible to enter a prize draw to win an iPad. To qualify for the draw, new members must borrow at least five books, physical or digital, by the end of July. The top 15 book borrowers of the 2025–2026 year will also receive special gifts in recognition of their commitment to reading, to be announced later in the year.

What Membership Unlocks

Library membership provides free access to more than one million physical books, a growing collection of digital resources and e-books, and thousands of children's e-resources and interactive learning tools. State-of-the-art Innovation Stations, including music studios and green-screen rooms, open the door to creative exploration, while the Children's Library offers hands-on programs and engaging activities.

The summer program adds even more. Children can join the Summer Camp and Summer Reading Challenge, building reading habits that last a lifetime. Young adults and students have access to academic guidance, tools to develop their digital skills, and the opportunity to tap into the Murshidi mentorship community. Families can explore interactive exhibitions, attend cultural events, or simply settle into the Library's quiet spaces with a good book. Together, these offerings provide enriching experiences for community members of all ages throughout the summer months.

"Summer is when the Library truly comes alive. Families come through our doors looking for enrichment, students want to stay ahead, and curious minds of all ages are ready to explore. The #Library4You slogan is our invitation to everyone in Qatar to make this summer count," said Fatima H. Al Sahli, Head of the Stacks Maintenance Unit in the Public Engagement Department at Qatar National Library.

Membership is free for everyone living in Qatar, and signing up takes minutes. Register by downloading the Qatar National Library app on Google Play or the App Store, by visiting www.qnl.qa, or by stopping by the User Services Desk at the Library.
