Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Challenge yourself! Push your boundaries and swing your wheelchair to the Zumba beat. This inclusive fitness exercise, led by Nawal Akram, combines dance and aerobic movements for wheelchair-bound people.

Abu Sa'id Ar-Rafi' bin Al-Mu'alla (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:The Messenger of Allah said, "Shall I teach you the greatest Surah in the Qur'an before you leave the mosque?" Then he took me by the hand, and when we were about to step out, I reminded him of his promise to teach me the greatest Surah in the Qur'an. He said, "It is 'Alhamdu lillahi Rabbil 'Alamin (i.e., Surat Al-Fatihah) which is As-Sab' Al-Mathani (i.e., seven repeatedly recited Verses) and the Great Qur'an which is given to me." The Writers’ Circle is an opportunity for creative writers to come together and share their work. The group will provide inspiration, feedback and encouragement in a supportive environment. So whatever stage you’re at, come along and get writing! Sessions will be held between 9 – 11 AM on Tuesdays.
