Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Building with Bricks Challenge

Join us for two hours of creative fun with Lego bricks! In this team-building activity organized by Qatar National Library, groups of five to seven participants must work together to build an architectural structure. We provide the Lego bricks— you provide the imagination!

Ramadan Mubarak! You and your children can honor Ramadan with the Library’s decoration design workshop. Every Thursday during the Holy Month, we will use special machines to make different decorations that you can use to celebrate Ramadan at home.

Bookshare is an online database for people with print disabilities. It provides audiobooks, read-along books, DAISY talking books, and braille and large-font books. You can customize your reading experience with ebooks in formats that work according to your needs. This event will help you find resources on Bookshare and register for membership

Dust storms are among the most fascinating natural phenomena occurring in deserts. Dust storms in North Africa and the Arabian peninsula can have environmental impacts that can extend as far as the west coast of the United States. Dust storms also happen on other celestial bodies, such as comets, Mars and the Saturn moon Titan.

The Creative Writing Circle is an opportunity for creative writers to come together and share their work. The group will provide inspiration, feedback and encouragement in a supportive environment.
