Abdulhakim Bishawi

Abdulhakim Bishawi completed an internship at the Countway Library of Medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. He holds a Master of Library Science from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, where he received the Exceptional International Student Award. He also completed an advanced course in medical librarianship at Simmons University in Boston.

He has worked in medical and academic libraries since 1986 and has co-authored systematic reviews in Qatar and Europe.

At Qatar National Library, he has delivered two sessions titled “How to Boost Your Research Appearance,” as well as a session presented through the “Librarians for Libraries” initiative titled “Medical and Health Sciences Librarians: New Roles and Challenges.”

He is an international speaker at conferences for medical librarians and healthcare professionals and a member of the Medical Library Association.
