Dr. Ju-hee Song is the Branch Manager of Songpa-Wirye Library, Republic of South Korea, and a member of the IFLA Advisory Committee on Freedom of Access to Information and Freedom of Expression. She holds a PhD in Library and Information Science, an MBA, and a TESOL certification, and specializes in multilingual literacy and global library governance.
Over the course of her 20-year career, Dr. Song has pioneered “glocal” library models, including the *Book Connect* initiative, and led international development projects in Cambodia and the Philippines. A dedicated advocate for ethical access to knowledge, she also contributed to Busan’s successful bid to host the 2026 World Library and Information Congress.
Dr. Song is committed to redefining libraries as inclusive social infrastructure that connects local communities with the global stage.
