Kirsten Wurmann is a Canadian librarian with a strong commitment to social justice and equitable access to information. For nearly 20 years, she has worked and volunteered in correctional institutions and is a founding member of the Manitoba Library Association’s Prison Libraries Committee.
The committee provides books, library services, and educational programs to prisons across Manitoba. It is founded on the belief that dignified access to literacy and information is a fundamental right for everyone, including people who are incarcerated.
