Professor Emad Issa Saleh is President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information and Professor and Head of the Department of Libraries and Information at Capital University, formerly Helwan University, in Egypt. He holds a PhD in Digital Libraries and serves as a technical expert at the Arabic Language Academy in Egypt, Editor-in-Chief of *Ilam* Journal, and a reviewer for several Arab and international academic journals.
Professor Salehpreviously served as Vice President of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information, Vice President of the Egyptian Association for Libraries, Information and Archives, and Director of the Egyptian National Library. He has also worked as a professor at King Abdulaziz University and as a consultant for several institutions and projects, including FAO’s Regional Office for the Near East and ARADO’s Digital Library.
Professor Saleh's awards include the 2023 Naseej Academy Award for Scientific Excellence, the 2023 Sharjah Award for Library Literature, and King Abdulaziz University’s 2014 Excellence in Scientific Publication Award in the Social Sciences. He has participated as a lecturer and keynote speaker at numerous regional and international conferences and has published extensively on library and information technologies and their applications.
