Rashid Al Muraikhi is an experienced library professional with a strong interest in Islamic art, culture, children's literature, and emerging technologies. He works as a Librarian Advisor at the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA) Library in Doha, Qatar.
A graduate of Qatar University, Rashid combines his academic background and professional experience with an innovative approach to developing engaging library services and learning experiences for young audiences. As a Librarian Advisor and Children's Library Specialist, Rashid plays an important role in supporting children and families and developing creative ways to connect young readers with Islamic art, culture, and heritage. He has also explored the use of artificial intelligence to recreate and reimagine traditional Arabic children's stories and stories from the Islamic world, using new technologies to make cultural narratives more accessible, engaging, and relevant to younger generations.
Rashid is a member of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), reflecting his commitment to professional development and innovation in the library field. Through his work at MIA Library, he contributes to creating an inclusive and stimulating environment that inspires children to discover books, technology, Islamic culture, and the rich storytelling traditions of the region.
