Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Be sure to check out our collection of books on knitting and crochet while you’re here!

In this month's English Fiction Book Club, we'll discuss This is Where I Leave You, by Jonathan Tropper. The funny, emotionally raw novel follows four siblings forced to reluctantly get to know each other—again—following their father's death. The Indian Navy and the Mapping of the Gulf, 1612 – 1947: Talk & Exhibition Tour

This lecture by the Library's Director of Historical Research, Dr. James Onley, will explore the history of the Indian Navy's involvement in the Gulf since 1612 and its role in the mapping of the shores of Eastern Arabia during the 1760s – 1860s. The talk will be followed by a guided tour of the "Qatar India & the Gulf" exhibition at the Library. For more about the exhibition, click here.
