In its role as the IFLA Preservation and Conservation Regional Center, the Library, in cooperation with the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO), and the Qatar National Commission for Education, Culture and Science, is organizing this virtual lecture to boost awareness and build capacity on the use of modern technologies and virtual reality to preserve heritage items and archaeological monuments in the Arab world by highlighting the role of these technologies in all fields, especially the field of heritage and archaeological monuments, and presenting pioneering global experiences.

This special event, held in cooperation with the embassies of the US and Canada, gives you an opportunity to learn how you can study abroad. You'll discover information about the admission process and academic programs at the below institutions.

This workshop will introduce Google Drive, one of the leading online storage apps that can help you store your files and convert them to different formats. You will also learn how to quickly and efficiently collaborate on the same documents with your team members.

Did you know that chess improves memory, problem-solving and IQ? It's also a wonderful way to improve focus, flex those creativity muscles, and most importantly, kids have fun playing.

Many young children under the age of 4 have difficulty using language, initiating spontaneous communication, or even combining two or more words when communicating. In this session, we will explore some strategies to stimulate communication and lead our children from being solely responders to communication initiators.

Cup of coffee is a monthly program in which we interview guests about different societal issues. This month, we are hosting Abdulaziz Khalid Musa, author of the book Students' Guide to Study in the UK, who will talk about his book and share important information that students need to know when planning to study in the UK. 

How does a song become a song? The music that we stream and listen to on the radio might be perceived as works created solely by the natural intuition of artists, but in reality, there is a roadmap to most music. This workshop will walk through the process of songwriting. Professional musicians will serve as guides, exploring popular music. Led by members of the United States Air Forces Central Band, participants actively engage in this unique experience aimed at exploring the cultures and traditions that define us as part of the Qatar-US Year of Culture 2021.
