We invite parents, educators, and those interested in parenting and child development to join us to talk about books that have had an impact on their parenting or teaching methods, and share interesting parenting tips and tried best practices. Participants can discuss this topic with their favorite book or borrow from our collection. Did you know that chess improves memory, problem solving and IQ? It's also a wonderful way to improve focus, flex those creativity muscles, and most importantly, kids have fun playing. Come to the Chess Club to learn the basics, make some friends and enjoy a little bit of competition.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Looking to sharpen your debate skills? Join us for the final wroskhop session, in collaboration with Qatar Debate. Participants will read Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury and debate themes within the book. Copies of the book are available to borrow at the Library.

Allah selected people distinguished by strength, honesty, trustworthiness and love for their people to deliver his word. In this session, we will learn about one of the earliest prophets, Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and his debate with King Nimrod.

The Library, in cooperation with the Assistant Undersecretary For Consumer Protection - Ministry of Economy and Commerce, invites you to attend an awareness workshop about consumer protection. We will shed light on the laws, rights and duties of the consumer, along with examples of commercial fraud that must be understood to avoid consumer exploitation. We will also offer advice on how to deal with these offenses and the role of the authorities in preventing them.

Your school has been randomly selected from the list of schools that visited Qatar National Library during the 2018-2019 academic year. Your school has the chance to register one group of students for a workshop by author, illustrator and performance poet Chris White. This workshop is designed for students in grades 4 and 5 only.
