In celebration of the Qatar-US Year of Culture 2021, the Library invites you to enjoy a collection of musical pieces from the past and present, performed by the US Air Forces Central Band and the Music Affairs Center of the Ministry of Culture and Sports.

Children may be at home, but that shouldn’t stop them from having hands-on fun learning. With Kitchen Science, we’ll use everyday objects from around the house to do cool science experiments. Every month, there will be a different activity highlighting a different science topic. 

In celebration of World Mental Health Day on 10 October, we invite you to the workshop “Understanding Depression.” In this workshop, we will debunk typical myths about depression, clarify symptoms you should know to recognize this disorder, and discuss what causes depression and how psychologists can help. 

The overall health of our children is not fulfilled without considering their mental health. It affects their way of thinking, self-image, productivity and relationships with others.

This workshop is for parents of children with delayed speech and language development. The program will be presented by Amina Zerouane, Manager of Barara Nursery, who will discuss ways to identify and assess the verbal issues and concerns of your child in terms of the stages of communication development.

The Children’s Library is happy to collaborate with our partners at Little Thinking Minds to provide an introductory session about the I Read Arabic platform, which helps develop children's love of reading by presenting learning materials in a fun and entertaining manner and instilling the love of the Arabic language, thereby fostering their identity.

Join our Virtual Knitting and Crochet Meetup to share experiences, information and more. Everyone is welcome, including beginners and those who want to learn. Grab your yarn and needles and let’s chat!

Are you interested in home gardening? Do you have a passion for plants and flowers? We are pleased to invite you to attend this workshop on home gardening for beginners delivered by coach Mariam Al-Dossary, director of the Gharsa Home Gardening initiative (Gharsa in Arabic means "to plant a seedling"). The workshop will include many useful topics and tips for growing seasonal plants and flowers.

Parents can be confused about how to choose easy, healthy foods every day for lunch, dinner or dessert. Join us for a cooking demonstration on Instagram Live with Rasha Isbeetan, who will show you how to make a special chocolate crepe dessert. We welcome everyone, including beginners and interested chefs, and please feel free to browse our cooking ebooks.
