An infodemic is too much information, including false or misleading information in digital and physical environments during a disease outbreak.

The program aims to introduce the concept of “infodemics”, discuss its negative impact and explain how to address it, provide reliable sources that enhance the fighting of infodemics in the Arab world, and deliver training on searching for factual and reliable health information sources.

The project is important as it targets students in Arab schools, universities and hospitals, activates the community role of libraries in creating health awareness and addressing misinformation, as well as making use of modern technologies to support an awareness program that helps improve information gathering practices and adopting correct healthy behaviors.
