In this short orientation, we are going to demonstrate Qatar National Library's newly acquired market intelligence database – GlobalData – which contains extensive information about different sectors and projects in the Gulf and beyond. The database also provides exclusive economic data reports and covers many industrial fields including mining, construction, and oil & gas.

Tap into our growing archive of Gulf history and culture, available online for the first time in Qatar Digital Library, in this new, creative non-fiction writing workshop. Bringing together history and storytelling, this writing workshop will explore historical narratives using creative non-fiction. It will include writing tasks, and the opportunity for group or individual feedback on your writing. 

In this workshop, mothers will learn how to express their creativity through creating woven accessories for their babies.

Did you know that chess improves memory and problem-solving skills, and raises IQ? It is a wonderful way to improve focus and flex those creative muscles and, most importantly, kids have fun playing the game.

Join this session and explore the amazing online collection available for young readers on the Library’s website. The collection is available to you any day of the week, any time of day, and includes audiobooks, read-alongs, games, puzzles, printouts and more.

This session aims to highlight the importance of using social media to increase users’ engagement and to promote a library's collection and services to the community. Librarians will learn how to develop social media strategies and to incorporate them within their own library's marketing strategy.

These cookery demonstrations with famous chefs Nour Al Mazroei and Giles Duley offer a wonderful opportunity for people with disabilities and those who support them.

Online resources are one of the very reasons that libraries are still relevant in today's age of digital technologies and instant communications. 

In celebration of Doha Health Week, Qatar National Library and Qatar Cancer Society will have a reading session presented by cancer survivor patients. This reading activity is about people’s experiences of cancer and treatment that can be a source of support and inspiration to everyone. Discussion and personal networking with members of Qatar Cancer Society will follow.
